But I've not come across any assessment of a (diskless) Sun SPARCstation SLC as an X-terminal. I'd be most grateful for any enlightenment. The more fundamental question is choosing whether to purchase X-terminals or SLCs. Sun's university pricing means that, ordered in quantity, diskless SLCs are not much more expensive than monochrome X-terminals (with slightly larger screens but smaller memory); and maintenance for the former is considerably less. --Paul Pritchard pap@leonardo.sct.gu.edu.au
