My program reads a 256 slot color map from the disk, compresses it to 64 slots, and then uses calls to XAllocColor to build up the color map. This works fine. I am using the drawingAreaWidget to do my rendering. My question: when I use the resources to change the background color of a widgets in my program (namely for the drawingAreaWidget) how do I ask for that color so I may use it as the background color in my display/drawing routines? The widget hierarchy: toplevel -----XTess draw_form -----formWidgetClass quit -----commandWidgetClass draw_area -----drawingAreaWidgetClass draw_messg -----labelWidgetClass -- Ray Suorsa, grendel@opos.arc.nasa.gov, NASA Ames Research Center,USA (415) 604-6334, Fax x3950
