I'm in the middle of repairing a Sony color tv and have found out
that one of the transistors in the power supply is defective. I
have it's type number but don't know of any replacement. Can somebody help
me out here...

The transistor is a 2SC867A and (I suppose) is a high voltage (>220V)
transistor since it's applied almost directly in the 220V mains lines.

Any hints/help/suggestions would be appreciated.
