the information you are looking for on the Series 700.  There is

For a technical overview, see the Spring '91 IEEE COMPCON Digest
of Papers.  There were three papers from HP discussing the processor,
the system design, the architecture, and the compiler enhancements.

Also, take a look in some of the older basenotes in comp.arch and
comp.sys.hp that have the word "Snakes" in the title.  A lot of details
have been posted there over the last few weeks.  If you can't find
the info you are looking for, just let me know.
