I want to transfer files to my pc without having to download them to my account and then download them to my pc. Any feedback, whether it be an e-mail or posted reply, would be greatly appreciated. Also, I am interested in hearing from those people, who have some experience in what I've mentioned. Thanks, in advance. --vinny At my previous job we did exactly that. Each pc had an Execelan ethernet board and attached to the ethernet. We used their software to run tcp/ip and telneted and ftpd directly from the pc out to the world. Later the software/hardware product was called Lan workplace for DOS by Novell. You also could use PC-NFS by sun? It lets you refer to nfs file systems on your pc. Saves copying everything first. I've never worked with this product. I'm sure that any other tcp/ip product would also work. bruce -- | Bruce O'Neel | internet : oneel@heasfs.gsfc.nasa.gov| | Code 664/STX | span : lheavx::oneel | | NASA/GSFC Bld 28/W281 |compuserve: 72737,1315 | | Greenbelt MD 20771 | AT&Tnet : (301)-286-4585 | Thats me in the corner, thats me in the spotlight, losin' my religion -- rem
