But when you add a prefix arg it doesn't scroll that many screenfulls, only that many lines, which is generally much less than a screenfull. I find this counterintuitive and generally not what I want. This is all the more questionable since on most terminals these commands get bound to and (if available). I'd rather have them scroll that many screenfulls, and have a different command for scrolling by lines. Such a command exists in many view-like modes (RET), nevertheless the screen scrolling commands (SPC and DEL) duplicate this to me undesirable behaviour. I have made the two-column minor mode (was bilingual) that I posted yesterday work as I suggest above. Which do YOU prefer?
