That is one possible interpretation. Personally, I think the reverse will be true for Fortran 90. A number of Aye votes may have just represented a weary desire to get the 'election' over with (real elections don't drag out like standards committees do). Even those voting Aye may have done so because they finally decided the best venue to fight the adoption of Fortran 90 is now the marketplace and not the committee. J. Giles
