But, I'd like to know what one has to do to change from 8" drives to 5.25" drives on the Xerox 820-II? Could it be as simple as just rewiring the cables for the correct pinouts on the 5.25" drives? (In which case I have ready access to a case and power supply that I can move everything into). Or is it a lot more, ie. software changes so that the computer will correctly access the 5.25" drives? And finally, barring any of the above, does anyone have a pair of 5.25" drives for an 820-II that they might consider selling, cheaply?
