I replaced it with a Soundblaster for about $170 and I am glad I did. The digitized sound on Soundblaster can't be beat for the price. As far a stereo sound - the Soundblaster only has stereo if you add the CMS chips ($29.95 extra). This was not the case with the original Soundblaster which came with the CMS chips. I've heard the CMS chips and plan to buy a set. Mike
