I need to purchase a printer that can print 1024 x 1024 images with 256
shades of gray.  I don't want a film recorder if it can be avoided.
Cost of both the printer, and of operation (paper/film, toner/ink,
etc.) are of concern.

I need to drive it from a 386 PC running Xenix.  Parallel, serial or
RS-343 video interfaces are acceptable. I can write a driver if
necessary.

Any suggestions?
