I am looking for advice in three general areas. This seemed like the most appropriate group to ask, but correct me if I am wrong. 1. We need automated or semi automated procedures for keeping track of IP numbers. We have a data base, but since it depends on manual reporting to track changes, it goes out of date quickly. 2. How do network support people deal with issues of privacy, security, etc. when working in dorm rooms. For example, something is reported stolen after a repair call. 3. The university plans to lease fully wired and equiped space in a research park. How do IP #'s get assigned to these non-university people? Thanks for the help. Paul Krause
