I've figured out the way tty_chu.c needs to be patched to (eventually) run with a STREAM version of the CHU line discipline. Basically the ioctl that placed the CHULDISC on the file needs to be replaced with an ioctl( ... , I_PUSH, "chu" );. In addition, you need to include . Once this is done, you can build an xntpd that works just fine, except of course that peering to 127.127.7.* fails until the CHU STREAM is in the kernel. The same thing could be done to the rest of the refclock_*.c files for the CLKDISC discipline.
