Usually I support new boards, almost as a variant of free speech. If N people want to have a special topoical forum, why not open one up? In this case, I am asking a different question, primarily because the "parent board" comp.society is so inactive. I wonder why a special board is needed for comp.society.development. These is (unfortunately) so little discussion on comp.society that I'd think that issues of computing in developed countres would actually give the board a little needed life! There is a comp.society.women which is usually empty here and comp.society posts about 5 messages a week. In my view, comp.society needs a transfusion, not further dispersion. /R
