Ever notice that in the 2000 manual under the mouse/game controller

that pin 5 says "Horizontal Potentiometer" and pin 9 says "Vertical
Potentiometer"...  
  Doesn't this mean that if I wired an Apple II joystick correctly
I could have a variable resistance joystick?  

If so how could I read these values?, say in Basic or C?
