References: <91110.160148ACPS1072@Ryerson.CA> RE: Why not just convert IFF to TIFF (on amiga) then to PICT on a MAC Answer: I am trying to avoid using the MAC all together for doing the conversions of each IFF file. Don't get me wrong, the Mac has great conversion programs like Adobe Photoshop. The Mac DOES NOT support batch processes. The COOL thing of owning an Amiga is that we can run an AREXX program go get something to eat, sleep, and see a movie, while the computer works at converting a few hundred (maybe thousand) pictures. Doing this on a MAC a person would have to sit in front of the MAC moving the mouse on the screen and type in whatever box appears for text input (like for file names). There is a program which can record a few moves of the mouse and keyboard (much like record and play on the Amiga) except that only 16 things can happen per macro and you cannot define a macro within a macro. One or two file conversions maybe, but hundreds?? yeeech!! Yes, I've even tried doing this on an IBM at, but with MS-dos each directory is limited to only 256 files (or was it 255 - whatever). So... I ask again, anyone have any ideas of converting a large number of IFFs over to PICT and back???????? Derek Lang<<<<< | ACPS1072@Ryerson | "Get this clown trained.
