I haven't really deciphered what you are trying to achieve in the above paragraph but I can tell you that Deluxe Paint III version 3.25 will load and save super-bitmap images. So, (as long as the IFF is in a *normal* Amiga mode. READ not HAM) you can load in a 300dpi image and edit it and save it out as a single file as long as you have the RAM to support the loading.
