I will be interfacing this drive to my A1000 using a C-Ltd SCSI adapter. The document- ation that I got with the adapter (obviously its old seeing that C-Ltd is no longer in business!) describes setting certain flags in the Mountlist for this device. For those of you with experience with this device, I have two questions: 1. The documentation states that the version number of the SCSI.device driver is specified via the flags in the Mountlist. The version of SCSI.device that I got with the adapter is 2.01 which the instructions say you code as setting the appropriate field to the value 1. I was able to download a newer version of SCSI.device (version 3.0? or was that 3.1). If I want to use the newer version of SCSI.device, what value should I include in the version field? 2. Another question dealing with setting the flags in the Mountlist involves the Driver Number field. The distribution disc has only the driver "ACB-4000.driver" which is described as a generic interface for SCSI drives and is optimized for the Adaptec 4000 series device controllers. Is there a newer and/or better device-driver that I should install that will work with my Quantum drive? If you can help, please send e-mail to the address below. Many thanks in advance to all who reply. Bob REY@psuecl.bitnet -or- rey@psu.ecl.edu -or- rey@ecl.psu.edu <---- I've been told that this works for MILNET users
