The problem in my case seems to be power fluctuations: the monitor will flicker for a second, and when it's over my keyboard has (a) locked up, (b) sent a random character or three, or (c) sending an endless string of whatever character I happened to be typing when the flicker hit. It happens most frequently using ProTERM, but has happened in AppleWorks and other programs. Sound familiar? Hope This Helps(TM), --rubio (rubio@uiuc.edu)
