Now we have something worth fighting for!!! :) Your physician-friend ain't goin' nowhere... :) Have you tried the usual: reseating the chips, examining/cleaning the feet on the DRAM's, examining/cleaning the fingers on the slot connector, making sure it is firmly plugged into the slot, etc. Did you try his memory card in a different computer (like yours)? You could try bringing it back to an Apple II Dealer (if one exists in your area) and have them check out the chips with their equipment. Brian T.
