That's for sure! I never claimed they would try. I was just explaining why losing cycles to refresh is a fact of life on chips faster than the original 1 Mhz 6502 in the Apple II. Wait states (even with a big cache) are a bigger problem with 17Mhz 65816 chips than refresh cycles.
