The object of the game is to move from the upper left corner to the lower right corner without hitting any of the hidden mines. At any given time, it will tell you how many of your 8 neighboring squares are occupied by mines. From there on it's a combination of logic and blind luck on your part. The game ends when you either reach the lower right corner or move onto a mine and go boom. The default number of mines in the 16x8 grid is 20, but this can be changed by placing a variable "Nmines" in your home directory. The number of mines can be anywhere from 1? to 64, inclusive. If you don't like any challenge whatsoever, make the Nmines variable negative and the mines will be displayed rather than hidden.
