This utility is a must. It will low-level reformat you hard drive without killing the data already on it. It will also optimize the drive for the best interleave factor as well as mark any bad blocks and move the data located on them elsewhere. In reality, this program should be run once a year to "scrub" a hard drive, since after use, certain portions of the media are bound to go bad.
