Switch Name 1 COM1 \ 2 COM2 | Serial 3 COM3 | Ports 4 COM4 / 5 ? \ 6 ? | Probably sets up 7 ? | the IRQ (interrupts) 8 ? / 9 LPT1 \ Parallel 10 LPT2 / Ports COM ports are your serial ports to which you connect your mouse. Most people only use COM1 or COM2 (you might hook a modem to COM2). I'd say you might have your mouse on the wrong port (the mouse driver could be looking at COM1 for the mouse, and you have it on COM2), because if it came like that, it's probably correct. Most mouse drivers you can type something like: mouse 2 to use the mouse on COM2. However, if it still doesn't work try combinations of the first and second named switches, I guess. If you can get any more information, let me know...Good Luck! Vince vahamri@eos.ncsu.edu
