Time out! Irregardless of your experiences, most hard drive manufacturers specify that the drives will function at any angle UP TO 90 degrees. Upside down is a no-no. As to computers on their sides, I asked the Gateway techs about this when I got my desktop AT. The answer I got was that all the techs their have their computers on their sides beside their desks with no apparent harm. Ken
