I'm looking for a real "bare bones" 386 SX or 386DX system
which I'll complete with peripherals canibbalized from my
other machines. All I need is the motherboard w/CPU and
BIOS, case, power supply, single floppy... no video, hard
drive (an IDE host would be okay), etc.

Any recommendations on a company which sells such "bare
bones" systems at a reasonable price? Gateway, Zeos and
all the rest seem to prefer to build profit with peripherals.
