In general the answer is yes. However do not be surprised if all the
features of the other card are not available or your system crashes
sometimes. It all depends on how many unique features each card maker
puts into the board and video BIOS that support the chipset.

This is especially true of VGA cards from PC makers. They are quite
often optimized for their own PCs.
