Yes. The card is probably an old Monochrome Display Adapter
card like the one that came with one of our older PCs. It 
can't display graphics. Somewhat dissapointing for the owner
who wanted to preview Lotus graphs.

A Hercules card will work with those monochrome TTL moni-
tors. Hercules sold LOTS of cards for this reason. Funny 
that they never got into the Super VGA fray.
