You're right.  I missed the fact that Jay was talking about a specification 
which would enable an operating system to run on two different vendors'
hardware platform.  This would be nice (especially when its time to port 
GNU OS to the 88k) but right now I am content with the ability to build
binaries that can run on any 88open machine.

But that doesn't mean I wouldn't like to run DG/UX on a Motorola MPC!
