It's main function is a GIF viewer/editor, but it does an excellent job with PICT/PICT2/TIFF images as well. It has adjustable dithering. Shareware $40. There was also a recent blurb in MacWeek for a new RDEV (printer driver) that will dither color images for printing on the ImageWriter II. There is a demo version floating around the BBS systems here in the Twin Cities, and (of course) I can't remember it's name! It worked adequately well on my IW II, and if you have a color ribbon, it is supposed to allow 32,000 colors via dithering.
