Open one of those ICN# resources. Move the pointer over the little box near the right-hand edge that's labelled "Icon" and shows a miniture version of the icon in question. The pointer changes into a "grabber" (looks like a little paw). Hold the mouse down and use this "grabber" to drag the "Icon" box (or its contents?) down to the similar little box labelled "Mask". (This should transfer the icon into the mask field, right?) Release the mouse once the pointer is over the little Mask box. In Finder you get a system crash; in Multifinder you're told that the ResEdit application has "unexpectedly quit (1)". This is on a Mac II running System 6.0.5, no unusual features to the system. I believe it happens on my SE/30 also. I don't have access to any Apple networks; if anyone else does and wants to forward this as a bug report, ...
