This is not entirely correct. Many thanks to long@mcntsh.enet.dec.com for showing me the error of my ways. Do this: o Crank up SuperPaint and create a graphic. SAVE IT. This is important. o Select whatever is wanted of the graphic. Copy to the clipboard. o Switch to Word. Paste Link--NOT just Paste. Paste Link is on the Edit menu. I can now select the graphic and do Update Link or Edit Link. What actually goes on here is a hidden paragraph is inserted just before the graphic. This paragraph gives Word the infor- mation it needs to find the graphic later. You can see this by turning on Show Hidden Text from the Preferences dialog. Tom Scavo scavo@cie.uoregon.edu
