So, it's impossible to click in >the "Default format for file" checkbox. You're looking in the wrong place. Assuming you have full menus turned on, go into "Commands..." and then type an "F". That takes you to "Fast Save Enabled". Now, you can either click on "Do", which toggles the value of that command, or do what I did: click on "Add" to put "Fast Save Enabled" into the Edit menu. That way, you can see the state of that option -- a checkmark means it's enabled, no checkmark means it's disabled. Word 4 will let you do just about anything -- once you figure it out. If you haven't played with the "Commands..." subsystem you're missing a lot of things. -- Chuq Von Rospach >=< chuq@apple.com >=< GEnie: CHUQ >=< AppleLink: CHUQ SFWA Nebula Awards Reports Editor =+= Editor, OtherRealms Book Reviewer, Amazing Stories ---@--- #include Recommended: ORION IN THE DYING TIME Ben Bova (Tor, Aug, ***-); SACRED VISIONS Greeley&Cassutt (Tor, Aug, ****+); MEN AT WORK George Will (****); XENOCIDE Orson Scott Card (August, ****)
