Message-ID: <12708@uhccux.uhcc.Hawaii.Edu> Date: 28 Apr 91 20:28:15 GMT Organization: University of Hawaii Lines: 24 As a fledgling, solo NeXT developer, I often wonder what documentation I should have. (Besides the long promised Technical Doc from NeXT, I mean.) For example, I spent some time yesterday figuring out that pswrap doesn't accept some characters (such as curly quotes) in PostScript comments. Typing "man pswrap" tells me not much except that I should check out the pswrap Reference Manual from Adobe. Do I really need this manual? I don't want to end up with a cluttered bookshelf and an empty checkbook. I'd like to compile a list of essential and not-so-essential documentation for NeXT development. Drop me a line with a list of what's on your bookshelf, and I'll post a summary. If you mention a book not available in most technical bookstores, such as manuals from a vendor, please include ordering info if you have it. Brief reviews (readability, reference vs. learning, applicability, etc...) would also help. -- Mike Morton // P.O. By curly quotes, I mean curly double quotes, among other characters you get with the Alternate key. I do not mean, "Moe! Larry! Cheese!".
