Anybody in the net would like to convince me why I should buy IPI drives instead of SMD? This would be for 4D/240S machines. We've been having problems with our SMD drives almost since day one. I don't know if there is a shitty IRIX driver for it or what, but it has been a major pain... Has anybody out there had trouble with SMD drives? If yes, were you able to fix it? How? If you could also tell me where I could find litterature to sort these things out a little better (SMD and IPI). Please E-mail. Thanks in advance.
