We are running Sun OS 4.0.3.  When someone changes their password using
yppasswd the system acknowledges that the yellow pages are updated but in
fact they are not.  The passwd file in /etc has been updated on the server
but the client machines do not have the updated information.
rpc.yppasswdd is running  as /usr/etc/rpc.yppasswdd /etc/passwd -m passwd
Has anyone encountered this problem before and how does one resolve it?
