Message-ID: <32370@usc> Date: 27 Apr 91 23:30:44 GMT Sender: news@usc Followup-To: comp.text.tex Organization: University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA Lines: 21 Nntp-Posting-Host: alhena.usc.edu Originator: ajayshah@alhena.usc.edu I painfully learned PiCTeX so as to do some pictures... (*why* does it have such weird coordinate system concepts? Why not just allow user to define size of picture in inches and specify (xmin, xmax, ymin, ymax)?????). To be fair, the pictures are lovely. It's just a big pain to get 'em. Has anyone done a awk preprocessor for a more sensible language which generates PiCTeX? I have large quantitites of data and TeX blows up -- he says he's out of memory. What are my options? Do I have to pickup TeX from labrea and make it with larger arrays? Thanks, -ans. -- _______________________________________________________________________________ Ajay Shah, (213)734-3930, ajayshah@usc.edu The more things change, the more they stay insane. _______________________________________________________________________________
