Loui" Lines: 18 The National Science Foundation has just established STIS, the Science and Technology Information System, which provides electronic access to NSF publications. STIS allows the user to search the full text of a publication and to obtain a copy electronically. There is no charge for connect time, and no need to register for a password. On the Internet, use the command "telnet stis.nsf.gov" or "telnet 128.150.195.40". Otherwise, use the dial-in lines (202) 357-0359 or (202) 357-0360 with even parity, seven data bits, at full duplex, with a VT100 emulator. At the "login" prompt, log in as user "public". STIS will ask you for your name, your address, and a personal ID of eight or fewer letters. Michael C.
