We would like to design a UNIX system which contains communication software that uses IBM SNA/LU6.2 to communicate with several IBM mainframes over a X.25 network. In an initial phase SNA/LU2 would be used. The UNIX system would also be connected to a terminals or workstations over a LAN to graphically display data from IBM mainframes. Questions 1. Does anyone out there have such a system working ?? For how long have you used it ? 2. What components are you using ? - UNIX system ? - hardware make - communication software on the UNIX system - communication software on the IBM mainframe except VTAM. - Software to pass data between LU 6.2 and the display. - Toolkit to develop software. 3. If you use X-windows , do you have toolkits to develop a system like this. Roger Centerstr|m Akos Koranyi
