The problem with multiple and simultaneous use of more than two com ports is obviously because only IRQ3 and IRQ4 are supported by most devices. However, some devices allow you to set the IRQ. I have a modem that allows this. So...I set my modem to IRQ2 and changed the system.ini file appropriately. But Windows crashes (i.e. exits to DOS) as soon as I open that communications port. So, MY QUESTION !!! If I can set the IRQ for a particular device, Can I Get Windows to Support more than TWO com ports simultaneously ??? Or do I have to wait for 3.1 Thanks...Regards |(8> --- Robert
