I, too, have the problem you mentioned. Its especially annoying to try out a new program and months after you've removed it find bits and pieces scattered throughout win.ini. I envision something like U*ix 'installpg' where you can install and uninstall packages in an orderly fashion as well as tell what is currently installed. If it exists, I'd sure like to try it out.
