Unfortunately, the file mgr insists on passing it standard XView options. My editor of choice gets *real* confused by this, it treats the X,Y position parameters as *file* parameters. What I would *like* is a way to tell the filemgr how to pass options to my editor (you know, like keywords in the command prototype that expand to various things). Or, failing that, I would like to get filemgr to use a minimal interface, and just pass the file name (no options). I have looked at the documentation we have available, but it is insufficient. The only expansion keyword it mentions is $FILE, which is nice, but not sufficient. It *does* however suggest that such a solution is avaialable, if undocumented. [Of course, if I *have* to I could write a shell script that interprets the XView options into the form I need, but I consider that a gross hack]. -- --------------- uunet!tdatirv!sarima (Stanley Friesen)
