The Arkenstone software is designed to allow a blind user to easily set the configuration. Because it is in a PC you can save the configuration in a file so next time you are reading that same document you can easily set your system to read the way you want it to. There are a lot of settings but you don't usually have to deal with them. The capability is there though if you need to change something you can.
