Unfortunately, Fran, there will always be those who make a habit of finding offense where none is intended. They suffer from the Rodney Dangerfield syndrome, they "don't get no respect". Sometimes I feel we have more than our fair share of that among the Deaf. Deafness is a huge problem for the hearing partner of a deaf person.
