Message-ID: <80302@bu.edu.bu.edu> Date: 26 Apr 91 17:26:08 GMT Sender: news@bu.edu.bu.edu Distribution: usa Organization: Computer Science Department, Boston University, Boston, MA, USA Lines: 11 Originator: jdubb@bucsf.bu.edu I am posting this for a friend of mine who doesn't have access to USENET, so please respond directly to mlevin@jade.tufts.edu. I have seen several ads for mosquito-repelling devices that put out sounds at various frequencies (usually, about 15 Hz). Is there any evidence to suggest that mosquitos hate such sounds? If so, how do you suppose they sense it? And, would such things be noticable/harmful to human beings and dogs? Thanks for any info. Mike Levin (mlevin@jade.tufts.edu)
