In Carl Malamud's book INGRES  Tools for Building an Information
Architecture (isbn 0-442-31800-6), the author refers to an IRDS
extension to the capabilities of INGRES system catalogs. He refers
to developing a series of tables that store meta-data about other
types of sub-systems. A few questions:
Has anyone actually completed an IRDS capability? Is it available to
add to INGRES 6.3?
Does anyone have a contact name/address for Carl Malamud?
