Message-ID: <13480.281ed25a@ecs.umass.edu> Date: 1 May 91 14:36:09 GMT Lines: 22 Hello, I am inquiring if anyone has any information on the show that I believe was on Nova in the past month or so. The show demonstrated a chess match between Mr. Kasparov and an ibm (??) system with multi-processors. I would like opinions and feelings on this as well. If I remember correctly, the next generation of this system is to have many more processors and attempt to beat Mr. Kasparov again. So how do we all feel about having a computer become world chess champion or possibly becoming world chess champion? Did anyone tape this show? You can send me email at either of the addresses mentioned below: internet: DUGGAN@ECS.UMASS.EDU bitnet: DUGGAN@UMAECS thank you for your time and consideration, John F. Duggan Univ. Mass. Amherst
