Most of the mail order companies in the US will sell dual voltage system, but only 110V/60Hz Monochrome monitor (They would sell a 110V/220V color monitor). I am wondering if i could step down a 220V, 50Hz supply and use this monitor. More precisely, my question is : does supply (line) frequency matter in a monitor used with a personal computer or it vidoe card generates its own signal frequency in which case i can easily get by with 110V/50Hz by stepping down the 220V supply. thanks for your reply. amitava@ecn.purdue.edu
