Summary: Need to configure Hard drive :-( Message-ID: <5021@lib.tmc.edu> Date: 30 Apr 91 02:48:07 GMT Sender: usenet@lib.tmc.edu Distribution: usa Organization: University of Texas Medical School at Houston Lines: 18 Nntp-Posting-Host: thesis1.med.uth.tmc.edu Hello, I've got a no-name 286 at-clone that worked fine until the battery died a short while ago. I've got a battery pack for it, but the AMI bios is an old version, and the parameters for the hard drive aren't "sticking" in the CMOS. I recall that once before, I had to use debug and type something like: -g0800:xxxx (example) to enter the controller's BIOS and do the setup and everything worked fine. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Thanks, David Fenyes dfenyes@thesis1.med.uth.tmc.edu University of Texas Medical School Houston, Texas
