Message-ID: <111@motto.UUCP> Date: 2 May 91 20:35:19 GMT Reply-To: dave@motto.UUCP (David Brown) Organization: Motorola Canada Ltd., Communications Division Lines: 14 What is the meaning of the Block ID value, shown for each thread by PS or PSTAT? Is it valid for two threads (in separate processes) to have the same block ID? We are tracking down a problem where a thread blocks forever on a semaphore, even though the timeout value is only 200ms. We have noticed when this happens, the thread has the same block ID as another thread in another process. Is this significant, or mere co-incidence? --- David C.
