I have recently acquired an Amdek Laserdek 2000 CDROM, but I am having some minor (i.e. it doesn't work) problems with it. First off, I am unable to locate and Amdek.Sys driver for it (the drive is on loan from a friend, who didn't give me the drivers, apparently). Currently the only drivers I have available is a sony_cdu.sys which is not covered in the documentation with the drive and mscdex.exe. I am needing to acquire the amdek.sys file (if anyone might have it) as well as a few pointers on actually setting up the drive and its jumper settings (I have the documentation, but it's pretty vague, unfortunately). I am running an Everex 80386/20, with two serial, one parallel, and two RLL Seagate ST251-1's, and Paradise VGA (I realize I've described my entire system, but who knows where the problem might lie. :-) If anyone has any information on this, please E-mail me (preferable) and if there is sufficient interest I will summarize to the net after I get my drive working. Thanks. -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- cab3@uafhp.uark.edu - Chad A.
